The first step to safeguard your future tenancy is to find a property to rent through a reputable letting agent. The staff at SouthEastPML are all fully experienced and ARLA trained so you can rest assured that you will be in safe hands throughout the term of your tenancy.

Once you have decided on a property to rent we will ask you to undergo our application process. References will be required, these will usually be requested from your previous landlord, your current employer and a credit check will also be made. Subject to references we will require the initial months rent in advance and one and a half months rent as a deposit.

The property you move into will have undergone all the required safety checks on its furnishings, and all gas and electrical appliances. We will have explained to your Landlord your rights and responsibilities as a tenant.

From 6 April 2007, all landlords and letting agents taking deposits for assured shorthold tenancies (ASTs) in England and Wales will be required to join a Government-authorized tenancy deposit protection scheme. This will safeguard all the deposits landlords and agents take. We are therefore members of a governmentally approved scheme
